London Diary: The City’s Most Magnificent Afternoon Tea

The quintessentially British Afternoon Tea tradition is experiencing quite a revival these days.

The grand Lobby Lounge of the Corinthia Hotel is our favourite spot to enjoy a vast selection of finest teas and – when we feel like a rebel – an occasional cup of the most delicious hot chocolate.

Illuminated by the breathtaking Baccarat chandelier ‘Full Moon’, the grand Lobby Lounge offers all-day dining for the hotel’s well-travelled guests.

The afternoon tea menu offers traditional British cakes and seasonal fine pastry concoctions, sandwiches and scones, as well as a variety of finest teas and bespoke tea blends. If you wish, let a trained tea sommelier guide your through the customs of Britain’s renowned tea culture.

Champagne, brut and rosé, is also served, and should you decide to enjoy sunshine and your classy cuppa in the inner courtyard, a cigar list will leave nothing to be desired.
