Q: What was the first ever RBR product you have used? What was your impression??

A: It was the Tinted Moisturiser. I’m keen on its delicate texture and the flawless result. Despite a long day at a photo set, the model’s skin is ideally nourished and looks fresh and luminous until late at night.

Q: What is your favourite RBR product and why?

A: So far my favourite product is the Highlighting Liquid. I can create really natural-looking highlights and shadows on a face to instantly add contour.

Q: Who do you find particularly inspiring as a make-up artist and why?

A: Shu Uemura was my biggest influence by far. His art of perfecting soft and natural make-up is a standard for me to this day. The skin is an important aspect and should always look healthy and radiant. My job is to discover the natural beauty of a person and to highlight it; not force it with a lot of product.
Generally speaking, we are too preoccupied with things we don’t like about ourselves, whereas the point is to accentuate what we love.

Q: What is your signature look?

A: The skin is my canvas. It has to be nourished from the inside out to guarantee a perfect result.

Q: Would you share one Particularly Beautifying make-up trick with our readers?

A: I love to shape the eyelashes with an eyelash curler. Have you ever tried to softly warm up the curler with a hair dryer and to shape clean lashes?
Start at the roots and repeat three times moving in tiny steps towards the ends, so that you create a nice curve. All that's left to do is to apply some mascara!

Thanks, Katja!
