News, Trends, Booth Tour

NEWS

Four years ago, the Esxence fair started opening its doors to niche beauty brands by creating a sector called EXSKIN. With several niche cosmetics brands exhibiting in 2018, RBR stood out as the only main brand to show both: fine fragrance and a complete range of colour cosmetics.

PERFUME TRENDS

RBR-red-and-black-hare-sculptures-booth-detail.esxence-2018

The all-encompassing trend must be the prevalence of balanced, wearable perfumes that seem to cocoon the wearer, shielding her from the harsh world outside.

Are the days of crazy experimenting over?
At least they are for now, and more subtle stiles have finally arrived.

From tender gourmands to gentle colognes, from intimate musks to lighgt oriental fragrances, discover here the most gorgeous perfume trends of 2018:

TREND #1: LIGHT GOURMANDS

Cacao, saffron, cinnamon, milk – these gourmand notes made a statement new in its lightness and pleasant powdery touches of delicate flowers.

Arcane Concrète de Parfum: sweet sparks of vanilla and saffron in a delicate veil of elegant amber, musk and woody notes. With milky peach, violet and fig notes, Lilt is a very light, green gourmand scent. TREND #2: CITRUS & EXOTIC FRUITS

Flowery or spicy, the exotic fruity notes of citrus, pineapple, pear, melon, apple, passion fruit and many more have united scents from heavy orientals to effervescent light colognes with a beautiful, sparkling exuberance.

Allegria: Bergamot, Sour Orange, Grapefruit, Passion Fruit, Blackcurrant Leaf sweetened with Tonka Bean and Nana Mint. Those who like sweet plum and apricot notes, will love Incognito and Arcadia.

TREND #3: WOODY NOTES

Elegant woody notes are here to stay – sophisticated, soft, sometimes even cosy warm, they are close to our skin like precious talismans.

We adore the rich palette that are the woody notes. In fact, do you know the one RBR fragrance that has no woody notes in it? Tell us in the comments below! TREND #4: FLOWER SHOWERS

And it’s not just a solitary floral voice anymore. Soliflores made way for complex floral bouquets. But these were light, sometimes almost ethereal bouquets – no heaviness, no oiliness, nothing carnal or overtly sensual.

Chatoyant: a perfectly light bouquet of the most stunning flowers – orchids, jasmine, roses, lily of the valley. Chatoyant: a perfectly light bouquet of the most stunning flowers – orchids, jasmine, roses, lily of the valley.

TREND #5: HOME SWEET HOME

Musks, woody and incense notes made a beautiful appearance in fragrances designed to make the wearer feel peaceful and safe.

Embers: the smoky coolness of incense and white flowers against the incandescent balsamic and woody base. Embers: the smoky coolness of incense and white flowers against the incandescent balsamic and woody base.
