Two Matt Eye Make-Up Ideas To Try This Summer

Jo Levy created this subtly defined look and the bold smoky eye look, proving how wonderfully versatile a palette of mattes like RAW GARDEN ‘Luna’ can be.

We’d love to see the enchanting looks you create, so make sure to tag @rougebunnyrouge and #RBRluna on social media.

Tip: PRISTINE LIGHT is perfect to prep your eyelids and to make you eye make-up last.

Look #1: Bright + Defined

Begin by sweeping the warm mid-tone shade in the palette, ‘Chestnut-napped Apalis’, along the crease of the eyes to create a soft depth using Crease Brush #11. Follow by smudging a thin line of the same shade along the outer lower lash line, blending inward, stopping about 1/3 of the way for a very gentle definition.

Next, define your top lash line using Eye Kohl in ‘Eve’ and drawing a fine line from the inner corner to just past the outside edge of the upper lid.

Follow by softly smudging ‘Sweet Dust Seriema’, the cool mauve shade in the palette, right above the pencil line, using Mini Shader Brush #005 for a soft smoky effect. Sweep any remaining product along the very outer, bottom edge of the lash line, moving only 1/3 of the way in.

RBR Look #1: Bright + Defined

Finish by applying the lightest shade in the palette, ‘Papyrus Canary’, to the inner corners of the eyes using Shader Brush #015 for a doe-eyed highlight.

Complete your look by sweeping several coats of Big Lash Mascara in ‘Golden Charcoal’. A lighter coat is applied to the lower lash line for a subtle tinted effect.

Look #2: Smouldering + Sweet

Apply the deepest shade in the palette, ‘Black Pepper Jay’ to the top lash line, blending up just past the crease of the eye and then slightly winging the color out – just past the outer edges of the eyes for added drama – using Large Shader Brush #003.

Follow by blending the mid-tone shade, ‘Sweet Dust Seriema’, along the upper crease edge, blending over Black Pepper Jay in a back and forth motion.

Follow mixing ‘Black Pepper Jay’ with ‘Sweet Dust Seriema’ using Mini Shader Brush #005 and smudge along the lower lash line from outer to inner corner, creating depth. This smudging technique can be a bit thicker at the bottom, but keep moving the brush just below the lash line.

Next, apply one of the lighter shades in the palette, ‘Bashful Flamingo’, along the brow bone in a soft, sweeping motion using Shader Brush #015 for a subtle highlight.

Complete your look by tightlining your upper and lower lash lines using Eye Kohl Pencil in ‘Salome’.

Finish by applying several coats of Modelling Mascara in ‘Midnight’ to both the top and bottom lashes.
